What we’d love to read.
We want fiction that gives readers access to worlds that they might not otherwise encounter. We are drawn to novels rooted in lived experience, with a strong sense of place and an understanding of the institutions, communities and environments that shape people’s lives.
This includes literary crime, suspense, and contemporary fiction that takes readers inside otherwise overlooked corners of modern Britain.
What matters most is not genre but a distinctive perspective and a narrative that carries the reader forward. We look for stories that feel authentic to their setting and are rich in drama and momentum.
